Worth the price, and feels great
It took a few tweaks to get everything right -- I ordered the wrong size helmet for example, but Voss had my back and corrected the pad size needed. My Sena 20s wired in just right, and the provided cutouts fit my speakers perfectly. As for the helmet itself: it's lightweight (about half the weight of the lid it's replacing), wind noise is low thanks to the provided chin skirt-- I picked up a smoke visor, and it works well even with the built in drop down sunshade and does the job in the bright Florida sun. I had a few cosmetic concerns that I shared with Voss directly preciously; but on arrival one of the top vents was slightly out of place, and I noticed the top layer of paint (or sticker?) is peeling up around the left side of the helmet where the visor latch is located. Again these are petty cosmetic issues, and likely from just being a first-run purchase. The overall quality is fantastic. The airflow is masterful, and you feel like you are in a $500 helmet.
Overall, this helmet is fantastic. I love the drop down visor, the fit, feel, and chin cover thingy. Only a few problems. When switching out the visor, it felt like it was going to snap (though it didn't). Took me like 30 mins to take off and put back on. Also, the liner was causing marks on face. Seems like it was leftover ink from the production line. I washed it a few times and did a deep wash, haven't tried it since but hoping its fixed. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone, the 988 Moto-1 is baller.
No wind resistance, very quiet. I had a bell star before this that i crashed in and couldn’t fathom paying 500$ for a new bell and this was the right purchase. Still stylish but less then half the cost
I can easily say this is my favorite helmet I've ever owned. And I have own lots of them. All different brands. The drop down sun visor is easy to operate, the pinlock options are fantastic, the ratchet system is a dream in a world of d-loop systems, The interior padding is very comfortable and of noticible quality, and the graphics are well done. I honestly get several compliments on it. Especially when people start noticing the graphics .I couldnt ask for a better helmet. For those wondering it has built in speaker recesses if you want to add a sena or any other speaker system. I commute every day on my bike and ride on my days off. I'm forever on two wheels and this helmet is my favorite part of my gear. Don't hesitate to order one for yourself. You will not regret it! Thanks Suburban Delinquent for turning me on to VOSS!
