This is fantastic, colorful solid helmet

This is second time buying my D2 helmet. I had to return the other model for an exchange to get this one instead. However, the return process was hassle free. even though this helmet isn't available in my local shops, I am very comfortable buying it online through Voss website. shipping is fast too.

Perfect for riding my Mantis!

I did a lot of research before buying my first helmet. I end-up buying Voss Helmet because I love its looks and it has a great price tag! I've reached out to Voss when the 15% discount doesn't apply when I'm about to check out and told me that the promo has been ended but still showing on their website. The reps gave me a chance to still get the 15% discount so I placed my order last March 10. I'm surprised to receive it on March 14 (I live in Montreal, Quebec)! Nice helmet, couple of issues…

The first helmet I received had scratches/marks on it and the back of the helmet where the graphic meets was terribly done…very sloppy and overlapped. Additionally, I ordered a pinlock and it was not in the box. I emailed the address on the paperwork in the box, no response…I emailed the address on the website, no response…I called the next day and spoke to a representative. She was more than helpful and happy to send a return label and setup a new helmet for shipment, as I did want the helmet, just not the damaged one. She also shipped a pinlock with the order. The second helmet I received did not have any scratches/marks but the graphic still overlaps in a sloppy fashion. I decided to keep the helmet, as I do like it otherwise, but with the amount of competition these days and cost of the helmet I expect better. Also, side note I ordered a red iridium shield and much to my surprise it’s basically gold on the outside and very light red or pink as you look through it…super disappointing. I asked for a refund and sent it back with the first helmet. We briefly discussed a chrome shield, but as it’s not a quick change I opted for the refund. To my surprise there was a chrome shield in the replacement helmet box, but no refund. I emailed them again and did get a refund, and do appreciate the shield, but probably won’t use it much as it requires tools to switch. I hope to not need another helmet for a while but I’m not sure if I’d do business with Voss again.

This is my 2nd Voss helmet!

I ended up low siding and having to buy a new helmet - Voss did its job the first time so the choice was obvious! It was the only helmet perfect for my round head AND it was affordable. It was in my hands within 2 days of placing the order!

Good helmet, don't bother with the tinted face shield.

Compared to other helmets in this price range, the quality of the Voss 601 feels superior. Fit and finish is nice. Built in sun visor as a great addition. The face shield locks in place better than most, hopefully over time it won't become prone to falling down during rough riding as so many other helmets are prone to as they wear. Medium fit is good, slightly smaller than my prior medium helmet. Unfortunately it's not goggle compatible with the face shield removed, the opening is too small for the goggles to fit snugly and breath is directed upward into the goggles for immediate fogging. The tinted face shield is not a good match in quality to the helmet. I purchased a Red Iridium model and it must have no anti reflective coating on the inside. There are so many ghosts and reflections that it's impossible to ride with, it had me double checking if I removed the protective plastic, but it was all removed before installation. Doesn't matter if it is sun, shade or overcast, there are blind spots due to reflections.
